York Brewery pub located on High Petergate, almost in the shadow of the Minster. Somewhat morbidly, The Three Legged Mare takes its name from a type of three legged gallows used to hang convicted criminals – back when hanging was in fashion.
Not the most exciting of pubs but there is a light conservatory style area at the back which makes for very a pleasant spot to enjoy an afternoon pint. Serves York Brewery ales as well as a good selection of guest beers.
