One of the oldest inns in York, apparently dating back to 1503, The Golden Fleece also claims to be the most haunted – making it a popular tourist stop. Although the frontage appears narrow, the pub itself goes back and back. The corridor from the small front bar area leads down to a larger second bar, and then beyond that there is a large decked courtyard. Food is served between 11.00 and 8.30 and there are also regular music nights.
