With rooms available under £30, if you’re visiting York and need somewhere cheap to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre then the Premier Inn York South West is a great value for money option.
Hotel Facilities & Location
You get the Premier Inn luxury kingsize bed and choice of pillows. The rooms are also universally accessible and air conditioned. There is also free parking, free WiFi and a lift to the upper floors. If you don’t get a good nights sleep then Premier Inn will give you your money back (although be sure to read the small print).
Located in a service area just off the A64, the hotel doesn’t have particularly glamorous surroundings. However the city is within easy reach by car and the hotel is on the right side of the city for the racecourse. If you’re reliant on public transport then this probably isn’t the hotel for you.
You can start the day with a choice between a Full English or Continental Breakfast. The all you can eat Full English costs £8.99, however with any paying adult up to two under-16s can eat for free. The in house restaurant is called Thyme (although I’ve never seen one of these anywhere else) and serves classic British dishes, gourmet burgers, steaks, salads and the like.
Premier Inn also offer a breakfast/dinner meal deal (not something I’ve seen before in other hotels). You can get a breakfast plus two course dinner and drink for £24.99 – very handy for business travellers with a £30 a day food allowance.
